VANGUARD GALLERY IS THE UNSUNG HOME OF THE VINTAGE RETRO PIN-UP REVIVAL!
As a tribute to my Parants time and era when they were young I became fascinated with the Great Generation and all things romantic, from music, design, dance and the arts.
In 1991, I broke my neck in an accident. While in intensive recovery, traction and physical therapy that lasted for over a year, I had time to think and I lost everything dear to me. I lost My Home Building Construction Business of 18 years, my home, my cars and everything sold off, ultimately my marriage. As art was my first love and what my Mom encouraged me to do all along, I followed my dream, as now I had no other usable skills left to me. I recovered slowly and most don't know of my accident and can not tell. I still suffer in chronic pain, but a small price to follow your dreams. I had a lot of nay sayers and lost my marriage over this final decision and the loss of income it represents. But in the end it was worth it. You only live once and you have to follow your dreams sometimes. Money is secondary, you need it to survive... and these are very tough times. They all said I wouldn't last, but 20 years later I am still here!
