EGGLESTON ARTIST BIO: Edward Mason Eggleston was born in Ashtabula Ohio on November 22, 1882. He attended Columbus, Ohio Art School, and studied under Harvey Dunn former student of Howard Pyle.

Most of his career was spent in New York. He had a successful career as a commercial artist was a member of the Advertising Club of New York as well as the Society of Illustrators. He painted calendars for the Thomas Murphy Co. and Joseph C. Hoover and son as well as Brown and Bigelow. As a genre, his works included many Indian maidens along with Arabian. Egyptian and pirate girls.

He died on Jan. 14, 1941 at age 58.
